Kenny Loggins

Sunday Nov 02, 2008 - 7:00 pm ($35 - $80)

Certain welcoming voices in popular music can be identified as soon as a song starts – they’re immediately familiar musical touchstones, inextricably part of the collective pop culture soundtrack. Singer-songwriter Kenny Loggins possesses such a voice, and for over three decades it’s been inviting listeners in to experience music that reaches the heart and the senses with disarming candor, authentic emotion and rich lyrical and melodic resonance.

From Loggins & Messina classics like Danny’s Song to signature solo tracks including Celebrate Me Home and the GRAMMY®-winning This Is It, Kenny Loggins’ expansive body of work speaks volumes with its warmth and directness.

McHenry Mansion

From its day of dedication, July 4, 1972, the McHenry Museum has been host to individuals and to many groups intent on appreciating the past and the many people who pioneered this unique area. The McHenry Museum building was originally the city library and was given to the City of Modesto in 1912 by the Oramil McHenry family.  A Citizen's Cultural Center Committee was formed in 1965 to raise funds for a Museum and Art Center. By 1971 local contributions from individuals. organizations and foundations had progressed to the point where the City of Modesto felt sure enough of the ultimate success of the project to convert the vacated library building into a Museum and Art Center. the committee's first step was to carefully restore the building to its original beauty.
